WHEREAS, Section 101(7) of the Omnibus Parks Technical Corrections Act of 2000, P.L. 106-176, 114 Stat. 23 (Mar. 10, 2000), amends the Presidio Trust Act to add section 104(p), which provides that the Presidio Trust shall have the exclusive rights to its name and to such “seal, emblem, or other insignia adopted by its Board of Directors;” and
WHEREAS, the Presidio Trust has, since 1998, and subsequent to its being selected and commissioned by the Presidio Trust Board of Directors, used the logo design attached hereto as its seal, emblem and insignia on its letterhead, Internet website and official documents; and
WHEREAS, the Presidio Trust has been granted the exclusive, perpetual, worldwide right to use such logo design by its designer; and
WHEREAS, the Presidio Trust has applied for the registration of such logo design as a trademark pursuant to the laws of the United States;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Presidio Trust Board of Directors hereby adopts the logo design attached hereto as the official seal, emblem and insignia of the Presidio Trust; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board of Directors directs the Executive Director and the General Counsel to take all steps necessary and appropriate to protect the exclusive rights of the Presidio Trust in this seal, emblem and insignia.
