WHEREAS, the Trust requires two shuttle vehicles to provide transportation in and around the Presidio to visitors, Presidio-based employees and residents; and

WHEREAS, on June 30, 1999 Trust staff submitted a funding application ("Application") for $102,685 to the Bay Area Air Quality Management District ("BAAQMD") for one clean air shuttle vehicle under the Transportation Fund for Clean Air program; and

WHEREAS, the BAAQMD requires that an authorizing resolution from the governing board of the entity requesting a grant be submitted to the BAAQMD prior to its approval of the Application; and

WHEREAS, the Presidio Trust Board of Directors desires to approve the Application to the BAAQMD by formal resolution;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Presidio Trust Board of Directors hereby approves the Application to BAAQMD, authorizes the Executive Director to enter into a contract to receive funding from BAAQMD if the Application is approved by the BAAQMD Board of Directors, and ratifies prior actions of Trust staff regarding the Clean Air Shuttle program.
